Pink Lambo Isopods for Sale: A Rare, Vibrant Collector Favorite

Bright, bold and impossible to miss, the Pink Lambo isopod (Merulanella sp., now commonly listed as Ardentiella sp.) is one of the most eye-catching isopods in the hobby. Its vivid pink coloring stands out sharply against dark soil, green moss and natural wood, which makes it a showpiece for any display. If you’re searching for rare isopods for sale, Pink Lambo is a collector favorite worth adding to your wish list.

Why keepers love Pink Lambo

Pink Lambo belongs to the same group of tropical isopods as Ember Bee, Red Diablo and Blister. These isopods are known for their vibrant colors and active personalities, and they spend plenty of time out in the open instead of hiding all day. That means you actually get to enjoy watching them. They’re also good climbers, so they make a lively addition to taller enclosures with branches, cork bark and textured walls.

Pink Lambo isopod care

Pink Lambo needs a little more attention than hardy beginner species, so it suits keepers who already have some isopod experience.

• Enclosure: use a taller setup with branches, bark and climbing surfaces.
• Temperature and humidity: keep it warm and humid, with good ventilation.
• Moisture: create a gradient, with one area damp and another drier. Avoid stagnant, waterlogged substrate.
• Substrate: use deep organic soil mixed with leaf litter and rotting hardwood.
• Hides: provide plenty of cover so the colony feels secure.
• Calcium: offer a source such as cuttlebone for healthy molting.
• Food: feed a varied diet of leaves, wood and occasional protein, and remove uneaten fresh food promptly.
• Stability: keep conditions steady, since sudden changes can stress the colony.

A great addition to a collection

Pink Lambo pairs beautifully with other tropical morphs in a multi-species display, though each line should be kept in its own container to preserve pure lines. With patience and steady conditions, a healthy starter group can grow into a colony that becomes the centerpiece of your collection.
